THE SILVERLAKE AXIS FINTECH INTERNSHIP 2018

At Silverlake Axis, we believe internship provides valuable insights for us to get fresh new perspectives from the next-gen workforce as well as providing support and expertise to our product development and team.
In 2018, we expanded our FinTech Internship program to a larger pool of candidates with problem statements from Silverlake Axis and our wholly-owned subsidiaries, Merimen (the leading SaaS platform provider for Insurance Ecosystem) and QR Retail Automation (provides retail enterprise solutions for retailers across Asia).
For 10-weeks, our interns were assigned projects based on their future career preferences, their academic track records and the requirements of the internship projects. Each intern is assigned a mentor to provide guidance on their projects and help interns assimilate smoothly into the Silverlake Axis’ working environment.

Overseas Learning Opportunity

A unique part of this Fintech Internship is the opportunity for each intern to travel overseas and have a working visit to other offices of the Group. This year, our interns had the opportunity to travel to Malaysia and visit Silverlake Axis’ Head Office and 2 subsidiary offices. But it wasn’t just a visit. Each intern had the opportunity to present their project outcomes to Dr Raymond Kwong, CEO & Group Managing Director of Silverlake Axis, Mr Trevor Lok, CEO of Merimen, Mr Yew Yee Ming, CEO of QR Retail Automation and other senior executives from the Group.

The all-expenses paid trip to Malaysia not only gave the interns the opportunity to meet and work with senior management of Silverlake Axis, but also a chance to rest & relax after 10 gruelling weeks and enjoy visiting places in Kuala Lumpur.
